NOTICE OF INTENT TO EXCEED
CERTIFIED TAX RECAPTURE RATE
The Town of Arlington, Tennessee will conduct a public hearing on Monday, June 4 2018 at 6:30 p.m. on the town’s intent to exceed the certified property tax recapture rate. The recapture rate recoups the unutilized portion of an appeals allowance included in the 2017 certified tax rate, pursuant to Tenn. Code Ann. Section 67-5-1701. The public hearing will be at Town Hall, 5854 Airline Road, Arlington, Tennessee. The certified recapture tax rate as defined by T.C.A. 67-5-1701 is $1.136985 per $100 of assessed valuation. The town’s proposed FY 2018/2019 budget will require a proposed tax levy of $1.15 per $100 of assessed value.
