Town Facilities
The Wastewater Department is responsible for the processing and treatment of sewer wastewater prior to being discharged into the Loosahatchie River.
The Town currently operates one sewage treatment facility, which opened in 2007 and has a treatment capacity of 2.5 MGD. The facility was built with the potential to be expanded up to 5 MGD when needed by the Town.
This division consists of a Wastewater Director, a Wastewater Plant Operator Level IV, Wastewater Operator Level III, and support staff.
Staff is also responsible for the maintenance of over 87 miles of public sewer lines within the Town of Arlington and 7 lift stations operating within the Town.
