2017 News Story

Over the past several years, the Town of Arlington has spent nearly $10 million and countless hours on improvements to the Forrest Street Campus property. Soccer fields, a pavilion, a playground, walking trails, as well as an amphitheater and farmers market that are still under construction. Once again our property is being damaged, this time by bicycles and golf carts tearing up mulch, damaging plants, and displacing irrigation lines in the landscaping. We take great pride in providing and maintaining beautiful facilities to be used by the Arlington community. It is extremely sad and frustrating to continue to see vandalism and damage to these wonderful properties, as it is blatant disrespect for the time, effort, and taxpayers' dollars to that go into them. We do have cameras at all of our facilities and will prosecute to fullest extent of the law. Once again, please keep an eye out and call the Shelby County Sheriff's Office at (901) 379-7625 if you see anything.
