Two people working on the new Town of Arlington mural on the side of a building

If you haven’t seen it yet, then be sure to take a drive downtown because Depot Square has  a new addition.  After much planning and coordination, a new mural was recently painted on the south wall of the cannery building facing The Kitchen Table (previously Vinegar Jim’s).

The goal of the mural is to tell a story about Arlington, while also connecting The Crossing at Depot Square to the original Depot Square.  Davey Studios, a Tennessee based company, was brought in to paint the mural. You may have seen updates on the progress from our Chamber of Commerce, who posted updates on their Facebook page so everyone could follow the progress.

To compliment it, a second, smaller mural is also planned in the future on the north side of the barber shop building facing the Senior Center. This one is intended to be more of a Welcome to Arlington and photo opportunity.
