Recent severe storms have caused nearly 120,000 outages due to damaging winds and also impacted MLGW's water distribution system.
MLGW is working to restore power and advises restoration could take a couple of days. They are asking customers to voluntarily reduce water usage until 5pm on 6/26/2023.
Water conservation tips include:
- If washing dishes by hand, don't leave the water running for rinsing.
- Don't let the faucet run while you clean vegetables and other foods.
- Delay washing clothes, watering your lawn, and washing your car until Monday after 5pm.
- Take short showers.
- Plug the sink to capture enough water for your shave, instead of continuously running the water.
