On Saturday, March 16th, the Town of Arlington is gearing up for a green initiative as it assists with Tennessee Tree Day, a state-wide event aimed at promoting environmental consciousness and sustainability. From 8 am to noon, residents who previously registered for trees will have the opportunity to pick up their leafy additions, contributing to the Town's efforts to enhance its greenery.

With almost 600 trees ready for distribution, the event promises to make a significant impact on the local landscape. Saplings from a diverse range of native tree species are available, enriching our ecosystem and beautifying our neighborhoods.

"We're thrilled to see such enthusiasm for Tennessee Tree Day," remarked Tony Fry, Arlington Stormwater Coordinator.  "This opportunity wouldn't be possible without the dedicated efforts of Town staff and the valuable assistance of the local AHS Honor Society, led by Mrs. Haley Brown."

Volunteers have generously offered their time and energy to ensure a smooth Tree Day, by assisting staff in distributing saplings on Saturday.

As the town comes together to celebrate Tennessee Tree Day, it not only provides residents with the means to enhance their surroundings but also to cultivate a sense of environmental awareness and civic pride in our community.
