Winter Bookmark Contest
A Winter Tale
The Library's annual winter bookmark contest is open now through January 29, 2022. One bookmark entry per person. Winter Bookmark Contest sponsored by First Citizens National Bank, Arlington. Entry form and contest details found here.

Adult Winter Reading Bingo Challenge
Reading Genres Bingo Cards available at the library or print a bingo card here. Print both the bingo card and the reading log.
For every five (5) in a row read will qualify for an entry to win a great prize. 
Fill the entire bingo card and receive one (1) extra entry for a total of 6 entries. 
Reading challenge ends February 28.

Want to join a great library? Age 50 and older?
Live outside of the Town of Arlington city limits?

Weekly Programs 

Tuesday Storytime 
January 2022
Join us weekly for Storytime at 10:30 at the Arlington Safe Room.
Every Tuesday we enjoy stories, songs, counting, dancing, and a great way for parent interaction with your little one. This program is designed to build early language and literacy foundations in toddlers and pre-school age children. Storytime + Craft Day is held the 4th Tuesday each month and is designed especially with the developmental tasks of toddlers in mine.

Bedtime Storytime
Mondays at 7:00 PM 
Read With Me
 Storytime is every Wednesday at 10:30 that provides a closer interaction for enjoying the stories. Some weeks we have great special guest readers. Be sure to watch and read along!

Tiny Tots Lapsit Storytime held Thursdays at 10:30. This program is designed for ages 0 - 2 and is a time to bond with your child as he/she sits in your lap and encourages early development in language and learning skills through songs, rhymes, tickles, bounces, and books. Ask library staff about a Tiny Tots Storytime kit.
Saturday Family Storytime held the first Saturday each month at 10:30. Join Mrs. Lisa for a family good time of reading great books and singing fun songs.
All Virtual Storytimes are scheduled weekly on the Library Facebook page.
Tune in Live weekly, but if you can't meet with us live, no worries all sessions are recorded and post immediately after each event.

Knitting Club
RETURNING Tuesdays & Saturdays at the Library
January 11, 2022 

Our weekly knitting club takes place from 10 AM - 12 PM on Tuesdays and Saturdays at 2 PM. New to knitting? No problem! All levels of experience are welcome to join us at the Sam T. Wilson Library as we learn the art of knitting. All programs are free and open to the public. 

Chess Club

RETURNING Monday's January 10 at 5:00 PM at the Library

Join individuals of all ages and levels of experience Monday's at 5:00 PM for a game of strategy and problem solving. You are invited to learn and master the art of chess. No registration necessary. Masks will be required at all program tables.

Kids ZONE DIY Craft Day - Take & Make Kits
January 8, 2021
Join us the 2nd Saturday monthly for the Kids ZONE DIY Craft Day. Take & Make craft kits will be available, while supply lasts. All supplies will be included and kits will be labeled for any additional glue, tape, etc. will be needed. More info.

 Masterminds Tween & Teen Book Club

Love to read? We love books! We invite you to join Mrs. Lisa one Saturday afternoon each month to chat about a great book!

S.T.E.M. Returns to in person every Thursday at 4:30.

January 19 at 1:30 - Returning to the Library as an in person program
This book chat is for all adult ages to share about our current book selection, what you're currently reading or what you've read. We encourage sharing all reviews and recommendations for other members of the group. A great way to reconnect, meet people, make new friends, and add great recommendations to your reading list.
