The Town Recorder's office is the focal point of city employment and employee development.  Arlington currently employs 49 full-time and 5 part-time employees.  Applications for all positions are accepted at any time and are kept on file at Town Hall for six months. The Recorder administers the Town's insurance and retirement plan, workers' compensation and safety programs, compensation plan, and personnel policy.

Administrative Assistant

The Town of Arlington is seeking a highly motivated individual for a full-time position at Town Hall. Applicants shall have excellent verbal, written, and listening skills, as well as effective time management skills and an ability to problem solve and prioritize tasks. Applicant must have an Associate’s Degree and four (4) years of experience in an administrative support position, preferably in a municipality. An equivalent combination of education and relevant experience may be considered. Degree in Urban Planning, Architecture, or related area of study preferred.

Parks and Recreation Director

Arlington is a small but fast-growing community seeking a motivated and committed professional to serve as the Town’s Parks and Recreation Director. Under the direction and supervision of the Town Administrator, the Director plans, directs, coordinates, and evaluates the parks, programming, special events and league activities for the Town of Arlington. Must have the ability to supervise, manage, direct, coordinate and affect confidence in park department personnel. The Director will also support community efforts and represent the department on a local and regional basis. The Town of Arlington Parks and Recreation Department oversees 8 parks, totaling approximately 145 acres; oversees Non-Profit run League Sports, in-house Basketball League, Town Special Events and is responsible for grounds upkeep at several other Town locations. Requires a Bachelor’s degree from an accredited four-year college or university with a major in Parks and Recreation (preferred), Public Administration, Business Management, or a closely related field; eight (8) years of progressive experience in parks and recreation of which five (5) years of experience must have been in a responsible administrative and supervisory role, municipal setting preferred, or equivalent relevant experience. Applications will be received in the office of the Town Recorder at or Town of Arlington P.O.
